Code of Ethics
Employees are prohibited from any of the following described activities as outlined:
- Using the client's car for personal reasons.
- Consuming the client's food or beverage.
- Using the client's telephone for personal calls.
- Discussing political or religious beliefs, or personal problems with the client.
- Accepting gifts, food or other items to or for the client.
- Selling gifts, food or other items to or for the client.
- Purchasing any items for the client unless directed in the client's care plan.
- Smoking in the client's home, with or without permission from the client or the family.
- Bringing other visitors (e.g., children, friends, relatives, pets, etc.) to the client's home.
- Reporting for duty under the influence of alcoholic beverages or other illegal substances.
- Sleeping in the client's home.
- Remaining in the client's home after services have been rendered.
- Lending money or other items to client, borrowing money or other items from the client or the family.
