Code of Ethics

Employees are prohibited from any of the following described activities as outlined:

  • Using the client's car for personal reasons.
  • Consuming the client's food or beverage.
  • Using the client's telephone for personal calls.
  • Discussing political or religious beliefs, or personal problems with the client.
  • Accepting gifts, food or other items to or for the client.
  • Selling gifts, food or other items to or for the client.
  • Purchasing any items for the client unless directed in the client's care plan.
  • Smoking in the client's home, with or without permission from the client or the family.
  • Bringing other visitors (e.g., children, friends, relatives, pets, etc.) to the client's home.
  • Reporting for duty under the influence of alcoholic beverages or other illegal substances.
  • Sleeping in the client's home.
  • Remaining in the client's home after services have been rendered.
  • Lending money or other items to client, borrowing money or other items from the client or the family.
