Mastercare of Honolulu is hiring a dependable Companion Caregiver to bring conversation, encouragement, and practical support to kupuna and adults who want to remain connected and independent at home. You will spend one-on-one time with clients, listen attentively, engage in preferred hobbies, read together, play games, accompany safe walks, help organize calendars, prepare simple meals, complete light housekeeping, and provide reminders for appointments, hydration, and medications. When authorized in the care plan, you may accompany clients on errands or community activities and support safe mobility without rushing or taking away personal choice.

The role requires clear communication, punctual attendance, respectful boundaries, confidentiality, and accurate visit documentation through mobile EVV. You will observe changes in mood, routine, appetite, mobility, or safety and report concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor. Previous experience with seniors is helpful but not always required; empathy, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential. Flexible assignments may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, or short respite visits according to client needs and your stated availability.
