Mastercare of Honolulu is seeking a patient Dementia and Memory Caregiver to support clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other cognitive changes in the comfort of home. You will follow routines that promote familiarity, safety, dignity, and calm. Responsibilities may include personal care, meal preparation, hydration, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, medication reminders, cueing for daily activities, meaningful engagement, and supervised walks as authorized by the care plan. You will use respectful redirection, validation, simple choices, and reassuring communication rather than arguing or correcting unnecessarily.

Caregivers monitor for changes in behavior, sleep, appetite, mobility, skin condition, or environment and report concerns promptly to supervisors and authorized family members. Accurate mobile EVV documentation and dependable attendance are essential. Dementia experience or training is preferred, but compassionate applicants who are willing to complete supported training may be considered. Assignments may include daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, or respite shifts based on client needs and your availability. You must maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and a calm approach during challenging moments.

All services must remain within your training, authorization, agency policy, and the approved care plan. Your work will help clients experience comfort, connection, choice, and continuity while giving families trusted support and peace of mind.
